About the Role
The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of all participating athletes by providing injury prevention, on-site medical coverage, emergency response, and injury management during all games.
Requirements
Regular Season (9 hours per day):
Dates: June 20, June 27, July 4, July 11, July 18, July 25, August 1, August 8 (2026)
Staff Arrival: 11:00 AM
Games: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM (5 games per day)
Departure: 8:00 PM
Playoffs:
August 15, 2026 (4.5 hours): 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM (2 games)
August 22, 2026 (3 hours): 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Championship Game)
Pay Rate: $25 per game
Responsibilities:
Provide on-site coverage for all scheduled games (regular season and playoffs).
Conduct pre-game preparation including taping, bracing, and warm-up assistance.
Perform injury evaluation and assessment for participating athletes.
Deliver first aid and emergency care as needed.
Coordinate with emergency medical personnel if required.
Maintain accurate injury documentation and treatment logs.
Monitor players’ health status and communicate with league staff regarding return-to-play decisions.
Ensure all athletic training supplies and equipment are prepared and available.
Support the PPL mission of providing a safe and professional environment for all athletes.
Qualifications:
Current BOC certification and Arizona state license (or eligible).
CPR and First Aid certification.
Previous basketball or sports medicine experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as scheduled.
