Director of Operations (Volunteer)

Key Responsibilities:

• Game & Event Operations

  
  

  • Oversee all aspects of game-day logistics, including facility setup, scheduling, and staffing.

  • Ensure courts, equipment, and uniforms are prepared for each week of league play.

  • Manage referee assignments and coordination with officials.

    
    

• League Administration

  
  

  • Develop and enforce internal policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate schedules, travel arrangements (if applicable), and event timelines.

  • Maintain communication with coaches, staff, and volunteers to ensure smooth operations.

    
    

• Logistics & Support

  
  

  • Supervise setup and breakdown of events, ensuring high-quality presentation.

  • Oversee scorekeeping, statistics, and other operational support roles.

  • Assist with sponsorship activations and community engagement events.

    
    

• Commitment & Attendance

  
  

  • Must be available to attend all 10 weeks of league play (including playoffs).

  • Participate in preseason planning, operational meetings, and staff training.

    
    

Qualifications:

• Must reside in the Phoenix Metro Area.

• Strong background in event or sports operations, management, or logistics.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lead volunteers and coordinate multiple moving parts.

• Effective communication and leadership skills.

• Must be willing to volunteer time and expertise in alignment with PPL’s mission.

  
  

Commitment:

• Volunteer position, no financial compensation.

• Expected time commitment: 5–10 hours per week during preseason; full availability required during the 10-week league season.
