A new summer pro-am league brings NBA, NCAA, and international talent to Phoenix starting June 2026
PHOENIX, AZ — Basketball in the Valley is about to rise to new heights. The Phoenix Pro League (PPL), a premier summer pro-am league, is officially launching this June at the Coyote Center at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
Running for ten weeks from June through August, the PPL will showcase elite basketball talent from across the globe. Fans can expect to see a mix of current NBA players, G League standouts, overseas professionals, NCAA athletes, and top local talent — all competing under one roof in Phoenix’s newest hoops destination.
“Phoenix has always been a basketball city, and this league is built to highlight the culture, talent, and passion of the game,” said Leigh Gayden (Commissioner). “We’re excited to create a stage where players can compete at the highest level and fans can experience the energy of pro-am basketball right here in the Valley.”
The League Format
10 Teams will compete across a 10-week season.
Games will be held every Saturday, with five games per day for fans to enjoy.
The top four teams at the end of the regular season will advance to the playoffs, culminating in a championship showdown.
Fan Experience
Admission is free to all games, but seating is limited. Fans are required to reserve tickets online at www.phoenixproleague.com. Each game day will also feature live entertainment, food options, and family-friendly activities, creating a festival-like atmosphere for basketball enthusiasts.
Building Opportunity
For players, the Phoenix Pro League offers exposure, competition, and community. Collegiate athletes will enter through a draft pool, while NBA and overseas professionals will be invited as guest players, ensuring every roster is stacked with talent.
The league also provides a platform for local coaches, referees, and aspiring basketball professionals to gain experience in a high-level environment.
